Desi Transcriber
The word Desi refers to most of South Asia, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. However, this transcriber only converts ten Brahmi-derived scripts to Musa: Devanagari, Bengali, Gurmukhi, Gujarati, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Sinhala, plus IAST romanizations. It doesn’t handle Tibetan scripts, Southeast Asian scripts like Burmese, Thai, Lao, or Khmer, Arabic scripts like Urdu, or the Thaana script of the Maldives, nor yet minor or past scripts like Sharada, Grantha, Tirhuta, Kaithi, Kadamba, or Modi.
