请依序输入每个字的声母（左侧蓝色按键）与韵母（右侧绿色按键）。若音节以 w、y 或元音开头，则无需输入声母。黄色按键可拼写某些感叹词及其他不与声母搭配的字。若想要指定声调（以缩减可能的匹配结果），请在拼音的最后使用最右侧红色按键输入声调符号。本字典不自动与前置尾音组合生成“儿化音”，所以“哪儿”应输入为 na3r5（而非 nar3）。

您可透过以下多种方式呈现结果：

• “阿妈（Amah Musa Ruby）”是一种混合型字态，以汉字为主体，并在汉字上方以方字态的目卅字标注。
• 我们任一款基本的方字字体，都可在汉字后方呈现完整的目卅方字。本页面采用的是昆明目卅方字。
• “朋友目卅拼音标注（Pengyou Musa Ruby）”和“太炎目卅注音标注（Taiyan Musa Ruby）”分别是在目卅方字下方标注汉语拼音与注音符号。
• 其他的选项则简单明了：文字可以方字字态、字母字态、汉语拼音、注音符号、以及汉字显示。

This page allows you to type Chinese characters based on their pronunciation. If you already have characters and you want to see how they're pronounced, try the Transcriber.

Type each syllable with an initial (the blue keys on the left) followed by a final (the green keys on the right). If the syllable starts with w, y, or a vowel, just skip the initial. The yellow keys spell some interjections and other words that don't combine with initials. If you'd like to specify the tone (to narrow down the possible matches), type it last using the red keys at far right. This dictionary doesn't combine érhuà with the preceding final, so 哪儿 is na3r5 (not nar3).

You can also use your keyboard. Use digits for Pinyin tones. In Zhuyin, don't omit the ㄭ or the level tone mark ˉ. Use a space to separate syllables if needed - the vertical bar in the center is a space bar. You can use Escape and Enter for the arrow buttons, and digits and letters to select characters.

You can also omit the final altogether, but that often results in too many matches to wade through.

Once you've spelled the pronunciation of the character you want to type, press the ⇨ key to display matching characters, and choose the one you want. We're using the CC-CEDICT dictionary, which has almost 120,000 entries.

You can then display the result in any of several different ways:

• Amah Musa Ruby is a hybrid font which displays Musa in Fangzi gait above the Hanzi.
• Naimah hybrid gait displays Musa after each Hanzi. This page is using Kunming Musa Fangzi font.
• Pengyou Musa Ruby and Taiyan Musa Ruby display Hanyu Pinyin and Zhuyin Fuhao, respectively, under Musa in Fangzi gait.
• The remaining choices are simple: they display your text in Fangzi gait, in Alphabet gait, in Hanyu Pinyin, in Zhuyin Fuhao, and in Hanzi.
